I am happy to announce a new Iron DPC service and collaboration with an active Iron DPC member and entrepreneur. Meet Kat Rome RDCS, RVT 

We’re excited to partner with Kat Rome & Sonovus Sonography to bring hospital‑grade cardiovascular ultrasound directly into the Iron DPC office.

Kat is a highly experienced cardiovascular sonographer whose career in diagnostic medical sonography began in the mid 1990's. Holding credentials as an RDCS, RVT, and RDMS she brings decades of expertise in cardiac and vascular imaging.  Known for performing comprehensive and meticulous examinations, Kat is dedicated to identifyin

g even subtle abnormalities and ensuring each study provides the most accurate diagnostic information possible. She is deeply committed to patient care, combining technical precision with compassion and clear communication. Patients and providers alike value Kat's professionalism, friendliness, and patient-centered approach.

Kat offers advanced heart (Echocardiogram) and carotid artery (Carotid Duplex with CIMT) ultrasound exams designed for people who care about performance, longevity, and long-term heart health, including both competitive and recreational athletes. These non-invasive, no radiation ultrasound exams track the impact of lifestyle changes, nutrition, exercise, and targeted therapies over time using serial echo and CIMT measurements.

All scans are performed in the comfort of Iron DPC by Kat and interpreted by a Board‑Certified cardiologist, with results sent directly to your Iron DPC clinician for a clear, integrated care plan. Iron DPC members can self‑schedule these studies through their Elation Passport account using the self‑scheduling link at the top of this newsletter.

You can book your appointment on the Elation self scheduling link by choosing the PROCEDURE ROOM and choosing one of Kat’s offers. After the cardiologist interprets the report your provider will be notified and they can they follow up with you regarding the results. 

She currently has Friday 4/24 & Friday 5/29 open on the schedule. Please try to book  on the hour or 30 minute interval rather than the given 10 minute for her calendar.
